Course Overview

In this complimentary, member-benefit on-demand session, explore the ÃÛÌÒTV DEI Blueprint developed by the DEI Task Force and gain insight into the DEI Committee’s inaugural year initiatives. This session features content captured at ÃÛÌÒTV Forum 2025 and will be available for six months.

During this session, we will discuss the ÃÛÌÒTV DEI blueprint created by the ÃÛÌÒTV DEI Task Force and share the completed and ongoing work of the DEI Committee.

Meet the Instructors

Chun-Ruthanne
Ruthanne Chun, DVM, DÃÛÌÒTV (Oncology), DFNAP (she/her/hers)
Clinical Professor
University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Chun is a graduate of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. She is an award-winning Clinical Professor who served as the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and Hospital Director for the SVM from 2010 until 2021. She continued to see patients and train residents throughout this time. She has completed numerous certificates in leadership and communication skills training and has provided hundreds of hours of scientific presentations and professional skills workshops nationally and internationally.

Tan-Jean-Yin
Jean-Yin Tan, DVM, DÃÛÌÒTV (LAIM), MBA (she/her/hers)
Associate Professor (Teaching)
University of Calgary

Dr. Jean-Yin Tan is an equine internal medicine specialist, former practice owner, and has an MBA. She graduated from Cornell University in 2005, completed a large animal residency and fellowship, and owned a specialty practice in Upstate New York before joining University of Calgary in 2015, where she is now  an Associate Professor of Teaching. She is a recipient of Vet Candy's Veterinary Inspiration Award, University of Calgary's Teaching Award for Educational Leadership, and Calgary's Top 40 Under 40.
